Candidate Privacy & Assessment Terms

By completing a Peritiv assessment, you acknowledge and agree to the following: 

1. Purpose of the Assessment 

Peritiv provides capability and personality assessments on behalf of employers and recruitment partners. 

Your responses and performance are used to generate reports that support hiring, development, or evaluation decisions. These reports are advisory only and form one part of a broader decision-making process. 

2. Information We Collect 

As part of the assessment process, we may collect: 

  • Personal details (such as your name, email, and employment information) 
  • Your assessment responses and performance data 
  • Personality assessment responses 
  • Technical information (such as IP address, device, and browser data) 
  • CV or career history (if provided) 
  • Assessment monitoring data, including screen recordings, webcam footage, and browser activity during the assessment 

This information is collected either directly from you or via the employer or recruiter who invited you to complete the assessment. 

3. Assessment Monitoring 

To maintain the integrity and fairness of our assessments, sessions may be monitored using secure technology, including: 

  • Screen recording 
  • Webcam capture 
  • Browser activity tracking 

By proceeding, you consent to this monitoring. If you do not wish to be monitored, you should not proceed with the assessment and should notify the inviting party. 

4. How Your Information Is Used 

Your information is used to: 

  • Administer and deliver the assessment 
  • Generate reports and insights for the commissioning employer or recruiter 
  • Maintain the integrity, security, and performance of our platform 
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations 

We only collect and use information that is reasonably necessary for these purposes. 

5. Sharing of Information 

Your assessment results and personal information may be shared with: 

  • The employer or recruitment agency that requested the assessment 
  • Trusted service providers who support our platform, including assessment platform providers, cloud hosting, and analytics providers 
  • Regulatory authorities where required by law 

We do not sell your personal information. 

6. Privacy Legislation 

Peritiv handles your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). 

7. Data Storage and International Transfers 

Your data may be stored or processed in Australia and overseas, including in the United States, through secure third-party providers. 

We take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled in accordance with Australian privacy laws. 

8. Data Retention 

We retain your information only as long as necessary: 

  • Assessment results and reports: up to 24 months for benchmarking and comparison purposes 

Where possible, data is securely deleted or de-identified when no longer required. 

9. Your Rights 

You have the right to: 

  • Request access to your personal information 
  • Request correction of inaccurate information 
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal requirements) 

Requests can be made via: info@peritiv.com 

We will acknowledge your request within 30 days and take reasonable steps to action it. 

You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). 

10. Important Disclaimer 

Assessment results reflect your responses and performance at the time of completion. 

They are not a guarantee of future performance, suitability, or employment outcomes, and may be influenced by factors outside Peritiv's control (such as technical conditions or testing environment). 

11. Limitation of Liability 

To the extent permitted by law, Peritiv is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your participation in the assessment or the use of assessment results. 

13. Governing Law 

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Queensland, Australia. 

14. Changes to These Terms 

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will be available on our website at peritiv.com. Where material changes are made, we will update the effective date at the top of this document. 

15. Acceptance 

By commencing the assessment, you confirm that: 

  • You have read and understood these terms 
  • You consent to the collection, use, and handling of your information as described 
  • You agree to complete the assessment honestly and without misconduct 
  • You are at least 18 years of age
